Strength improvement ranges from 20% to 60%.

A 3-4 hour sulfonation reaction is performed to avoid insufficient reactions or the creation of by-products. Under strict control of acidity and temperature, naphthalene and formaldehyde undergo a condensation reaction to form naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate.

   Naphthalene-Based Superplasticizers are available in two types based on sodium sulfate content: 5%and 17%.Â
Â
   5% Sodium Sulfate: This type provides stronger water reduction compared to the 17% variant, requiring a lower dosage and enhancing the concrete's resistance to salt and corrosion. It also offers some early strength benefits. With excellent compatibility with various types of cement, it is widely used in cast-in-place, precast, and commercial concrete, as well as in steam-cured concrete products.

    17% Sodium Sulfate: This type has moderate water reduction performance but significantly enhances the early strength of concrete. Since it requires a higher dosage compared to the 5% variant, it is generally suitable for self-use or small-scale applications. In addition to all the advantages of Naphthalene-Based Superplasticizers, it also prevents alkali-aggregate reactions caused by highly reactive aggregates or humid environments, thus extending the lifespan of the concrete.
